Jalen Hurts, the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, took a moment to speak about his rival, Patrick Mahomes.

Hurts praised Mahomes, who had just won his second NFL MVP award, despite a tough ankle injury.

The Chiefs had come back from a 24-14 deficit to win the Super Bowl, thanks in no small part to Mahomes' incredible performance.

"He has always been a great player," Hurts said. "I always had a lot of respect for him. Being a Texas kid, obviously, I always support any Texas kid.

While Mahomes gained legendary status playing for Texas Tech, Hurts played college football at Alabama and Oklahoma before making it to the NFL.
