Following his recent emergence from a four-day darkness retreat, many anticipate his decision on his NFL future to be made in the coming weeks.

Rodgers agreed to his massive extension on March 8, 2022, and it's possible that his decision for the 2023 season will be made around the same time this year.

The Green Bay Packers have been rumored to be open to trading the four-time MVP quarterback if he decides to return.

However, it appears that one AFC team has already decided not to pursue Rodgers.

Despite previous buzz linking the Las Vegas Raiders to a potential trade for Rodgers,

the team has reportedly decided to look in a different direction to fill their need at quarterback.

According to Hondo Carpenter of Sports Illustrated, Raiders owner Mark Davis initially loved the idea of adding Tom Brady,

while Josh McDaniels wanted an experienced leader.

However, it seems that the team has now ruled out making a move for Rodgers if he becomes available, as they are actively pursuing other options.

While the door may not be 100% closed, Carpenter estimates the chance of a trade as low as 5%.

Raiders general manager Dave Ziegler suggested that allocating significant resources to one player at one position may not be the most intelligent approach,

Ziegler's comments seem to indicate that the Raiders are not interested in pursuing a massive trade for any player, including Rodgers.
